Our Classes

CrossFit

At its heart, CrossFit is a high-intensity workout of movements and exercises.

Each day, we prepare a WOD (Workout Of the Day). Each workout is easily adaptable for all ages and abilities and no two days are the same, so you’ll find yourself improving at gymnastics, running, rowing, weight lifting and much more.

Classes are held in a group setting at our Pendle gym, where you’ll get loads of encouragement and support from our experienced coaches and other members.

Training is challenging but rewarding. It’s about what you can do – not what you think you can’t do. New members are always surprised at what they can achieve, especially after a few weeks of regular workouts when the health, fitness and weight benefits start paying off.

Partner WOD

This partner workout sees you paired up with a friend or another friendly member of equal ability for an invigorating CrossFit session, working in pairs, taking turns to work out over 30 minutes. The social side of this session makes it one of our most popular.

Partner WOD Lite

This lighter partner workout uses dumbbells instead of barbells and is the ideal workout if you like that cardiovascular feel to your training. Like the Partner WOD, you’ll work in pairs, taking turns to work out over 30 minutes. Partner WOD Lite incorporates a wide range of less complicated movements so it’s great if you’re a little nervous about taking on the heavier weights.

Strength and Power

Our Strength and Power class is designed to improve your Olympic weightlifting technique safely.

But you don’t need to be a gold medal-hopeful to take part. Practising squats, deadlifts, cleans and snatches with a trained coach will help you get to grips with some of the movements in our other classes.

Endurance

Endurance classes will test staying power, helping you keep going and push through longer workouts as you improve.

The 25-30 minute sessions are individual workouts that are cardio-focused, so expect to work hard and break a sweat. Endurance classes are fantastic for building focus and mental strength.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics sessions are designed to help you progress to more advanced core CrossFit movements like pull-ups, toes to bar, handstand push ups and more. But like all CrossFit workouts, it’s adaptable to all abilities.

You’ll work with a qualified and experienced coach to break down each movement into simple steps before moving on to more challenging exercises. We won’t ask you to do anything you aren’t comfortable or capable of.

Team Up

Join us on weekends for an intense half-hour workout in teams of three, working on all your favourite CrossFit movements like lifting, gymnastics and more. Work as a team and play to each other’s strengths to get through the workout together!

Open Gym

Open gym is an area of the gym where members can go to do their own training rather than book onto the class. Open gym is not a coached session but is popular with members that want to do extra or something different away from the class.

All of our membership options allow unlimited access to open gym. There are 37 one hour time slots per week to choose from and like with all of our classes, booking is required.
