People who are successful all have one thing in common... they are consistent! Consistency is the key to success. Consistency leads to habits and then habits mould the actions we take each day.
So, if you want to achieve your Crossfit goals, or any fitness/ weightloss related goals for that matter, you must be consistent. People can be impatient when it comes to exercise and don't give their fitness plans enough time.
Luckily with Crossfit, it's easier to create a habit and be consistent because all the workouts are planned for you. That means you know that when you turn up, you don't have to spend any time thinking about what you're supposed to be doing!
To help keep you more motivated and dedicated to your fitness goals, find yourself a workout partner or come and join a partner workout at Crossfit Pendle. This way you are held accountable for and more likely to go if you know someone else is relying on you too! The coaches at a Crossfit gym also...

CrossFit Pendle owner Mike Rawson had signed up for the Paris Marathon…then received email confirmation of acceptance into the London Marathon taking place three weeks later!
He’s decided to bite the bullet and run both marathons in April this year.
He said: “I’ve always wanted to run a marathon and decided it was time to stop talking about it and just do it. I entered for a charity place in the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon first, but I’d heard that getting a spot was difficult, so I decided to enter the Paris one, on April 5th.
“Two weeks after I had signed up, booked the flights and hotel, I checked my emails and had notification of a place in the London Marathon on April 26th. I couldn’t believe it!
“I questioned whether three weeks gave me enough recovery to run a competitive time at London, but then I thought: Who cares, I’m in the London Marathon, I may never get the chance again, so there’s no way I can...
We all know that exercise has physical benefits, but one of the things that is often overlooked is how exercise like CrossFit can help improve your mental health too.
Many studies have found that doing physical activity can actively improve mental health and wellbeing. Here’s how:
Better sleep
Working out is tough! For those who struggle sleeping, exercise is a good way to tire yourself out. It can also add routine to your day, again aiding better sleep.
Happier mood
Exercise like CrossFit releases feel-good hormones. It makes you feel better in yourself and also gives you more energy!
Managing stress
CrossFit can help reduce stress, racing thoughts and anxiety. Doing something physical releases cortisol, a hormone that helps us manage stress. Exercise also gives your brain something to focus on, making it a positive strategy for dealing with difficulties.
Better self-esteem
Getting active can improve your self esteem by making you feel better about yourself....
For some people, CrossFit is their sport. But some people already play a sport.
You might be wondering if CrossFit is for you if you already take part in another fitness activity, but we can promise you it 100% is!
Most of us aren’t going to The CrossFit Games, and so for many of us, CrossFit is a fun, functional way to keep fit. Constantly varied, intense and with strength and cardio elements, CrossFit is a fantastic way to build your fitness.
Many of our members already run, cycle, swim or play sports such as rugby, cricket and football. They use CrossFit as a way to enable them to perform better in their sport.
Runners? They might use CrossFit to get faster or go for longer.
Cyclists? They might use CrossFit to improve their fitness so there’s less walking up hills and more pedalling!
Swimmers? They might use CrossFit to improve their strength and endurance.
The list could go on and on!
CrossFit is the perfect complementary training for all other types of fitness....
All the gear but no idea? Or maybe just no gear and no idea where to start?!
The market is full of CrossFit gear from specialist socks right through to mobility aids and supplements. Knowing what to buy to help make life easier and improve your performance in the gym can be a minefield so we’ve had a look inside some of our member’s gym bags to find out what some of the best pieces of gear are.
You'll see many of the members around the gym wearing CrossFit Pendle branded clothing. You maybe wondering where you can get such items. It maybe that it makes you feel more apart of the team/box. Or maybe you just appreciate fine gym wear when you see it. Ha. Either way there's loads to choose from via the RebelUK website under the CrossFit Pendle affiliate section.

You’ve probably heard a lot of talk about ‘The Open’ in the gym lately.
It’s a highlight of the CrossFit calendar and something many of our members look forward to taking part in each year. The 2020 Open is starting on Thursday and now is the perfect time to sign up. We urge all our members to get involved and make it a social affair for all the gym to come together and enjoy.
But, if you’re wondering what it is, whether it’s for you or have any other worries, read on - we’ve answered some of the questions we get asked the most to clear up any concerns you might have!
What is the Open?
The Open is a world-wide CrossFit competition. It’s where ‘grassroots meets greatness’ and allows you to compete with hundreds of thousands of athletes at different CrossFit gyms all around the world. It’s an all-inclusive event with both everyday people and professional athletes completing the same work out week in, week out.

CrossFit is tough. Yet, we turn up day in and day out, week after week to slog it out in the gym and battle through that pain barrier. Why? Because of the progress we make.
Progress is the driving force behind our decision to do CrossFit and we see our members progress incredibly with every workout you do. But, it’s also important for you to track your progress. Not only is it hugely motivating, it also means you can look back on old one rep max lifts, benchmark workouts and WODs to see how you’ve progressed.
Just think where you might be in a year… and just imagine how good it’ll feel to look back and see it in writing! Thankfully, tracking your progress at the gym has never been easier.
Whether you’re a digital warrior who loves an app, or more old school journal, here’s some of our favourite ways to keep track:
myWOD is an app available on both iOS and Android and allows you to track completed workouts, graph WODs and PRS, create...
Getting a good night’s sleep is essential for keeping us healthy both physically and mentally. Having good quality sleep and sleeping habits can boost our quality life and improve our performance in the gym.
That’s because sleep plays a significant role in healing and repairing your body, including your heart and blood vessels. According to The Sleep Council it also helps us maintain a healthy weight, good balance of hormones and keeps our brain working properly.
Sleep lets us learn, remember, solve problems, make decisions, safeguards us against stress and mood swings and most importantly - heals our muscles.
But despite the fact we all sleep, not many of us do it well. While most adults need six to nine hours, many of us struggle to nod off, or find ourselves waking up, so here’s some of our tips for helping you get off into the land of nod:
Keep regular sleeping hours. By going to bed and getting up at the same time, you’ll be programming your...
