BODYWEIGHT CROSSFIT WORKOUTS YOU CAN EASILY DO FROM HOME

Given the current circumstances, we've had to adapt to working out at home and for many of us, it's become a significant part of our day.

You don't always need a barbell or weights for a high-intensity workout, bodyweight Crossfit workouts can really test your endurance and mobility.

If you're looking for some workout inspo, we've put together some great Crossfit workouts for you, that can be done at home, no equipment needed...

 

1. 10 rounds of:

  • 10 push ups

  • 10 sit ups

  • 10 air squats

 

2. AMRAP 20

  • 400 meter run (approx)
  • 30 jumping lunges (alternating)
  • 20 plyo pushups
  • 10 V-ups

 

3. 50-40-30-20-10

  • Air Squats
  • Situps

 

4. 10-1

  • Burpees
  • Pushups
  • Situps
(10 burpees, 10 pushups, 10 situps, 9 burpees, 9 pushups, 9 situps etc...)
 

5. “Susan” – 5 rounds for time

  • Run 200m
  • 10 squats
  • 10 push ups

 

6. For time: 

  • 100 jumping jacks
  • 75 air squats
  • 50 push ups
  • 25 burpees

With all the gyms closed it means that many of you will be working out from your home for the time being. Although it's not convenient and we would much rather be at our box, Crossfit workouts CAN be done from home with or without weights!

WHY BEING CONSISTENT IS KEY!

People who are successful all have one thing in common... they are consistent! Consistency is the key to success. Consistency leads to habits and then habits mould the actions we take each day.

So, if you want to achieve your Crossfit goals, or any fitness/ weightloss related goals for that matter, you must be consistent. People can be impatient when it comes to exercise and don't give their fitness plans enough time. 

Luckily with Crossfit, it's easier to create a habit and be consistent because all the workouts are planned for you. That means you know that when you turn up, you don't have to spend any time thinking about what you're supposed to be doing!

Double marathon challenge for Mike

CrossFit Pendle owner Mike Rawson had signed up for the Paris Marathon…then received email confirmation of acceptance into the London Marathon taking place three weeks later!

He’s decided to bite the bullet and run both marathons in April this year.

He said: “I’ve always wanted to run a marathon and decided it was time to stop talking about it and just do it. I entered for a charity place in the 2020 Virgin Money London Marathon first, but I’d heard that getting a spot was difficult, so I decided to enter the Paris one, on April 5th.

“Two weeks after I had signed up, booked the flights and hotel, I checked my emails and had notification of a place in the London Marathon on April 26th. I couldn’t believe it!

You might be wondering if CrossFit is for you if you already take part in another fitness activity, but we can promise you it 100% is!

Most of us aren’t going to The CrossFit Games, and so for many of us, CrossFit is a fun, functional way to keep fit. Constantly varied, intense and with strength and cardio elements, CrossFit is a fantastic way to build your fitness.

Many of our members already run, cycle, swim or play sports such as rugby, cricket and football. They use CrossFit as a way to enable them to perform better in their sport.

Tracking your fitness progress

CrossFit is tough. Yet, we turn up day in and day out, week after week to slog it out in the gym and battle through that pain barrier. Why? Because of the progress we make.

Progress is the driving force behind our decision to do CrossFit and we see our members progress incredibly with every workout you do. But, it’s also important for you to track your progress. Not only is it hugely motivating, it also means you can look back on old one rep max lifts, benchmark workouts and WODs to see how you’ve progressed.

Just think where you might be in a year… and just imagine how good it’ll feel to look back and see it in writing! Thankfully, tracking your progress at the gym has never been easier.
